Chairperson of the Women with Like Minds, Becky Gabriel has ruled out the possibility of manipulating the 2023 elections, saying politicians with dubious plans will be too shocked at what they will see in the field on Election Day.

“This election is about the electorates, the poor suffering masses will speak through their vote, it will certainly not be business as usual. The outcome of the election, I mean the result will represent the true decision made by the electorates in the polling units with their PVC, because votes will count.

“Let me also beg our politicians, please come out with the money, give us, bribe us, anything you call it, just give us the money, but I want to assure you that we will take it, and add a big thank you very much, but we will still vote our conscience,” she said in an interview with TNN.

Speaking with TNN in an exclusive interview on the governorship ambition of Jackrich, leader of the physically challenged who led his members to the NRM Secretariat in Port Harcourt, Prince Amuda Chigozie explained reasons they chose to support Jackrich.

In his words, “the reality is this, there has been series of governors in the time past, there have been series of candidates in the time past but it’s difficult for you to see anyone of them that could accord that utmost recognition to persons with disability in Rivers State.

“A lot of them are doing that for the sake of that political era, for the sake of that political intention, but in his capacity as a man, not as a candidate of any political party, he has been so supportive, helpful to a lot of persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable persons in Rivers State, not particularly because he is contesting, far before now he has been helping a lot of people.

“So we deem it fit to give him that support, if he could do it with his personal resources, what about when he clinches the office of the governor of Rivers State, that means, with the state resources, he is going to empower, he is going to help people and persons with disabilities to cling a higher level in the society, that’s one of our reasons among others.”
