Victory Ozioma Dozie, a native of Ikwuano, Abia State, has defeated seven other contestants to emerge the “Ideal Queen” of the Most Vibrant Queen International 2022 pageant in Calabar, Cross River state.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after the being crowned queen, Victory said she felt spectacular. “I feel at ease. Finally, the tension is down and I feel spectacular. I wasn’t expecting the prize because I contested against contestants who were really good.
“My intention is to use this platform to help those who don’t have food to eat through my pet project, “feed pot.” It is about providing at least a meal each for as many as we can reach who don’t have what to eat daily. My advice to my fellow young ladies is that they should keep doing what they are doing, as long as it is right. Make sure you are the best. Have good character, it can take you very far in life’, she said.
Her prizes include a brand new Camry and N200,000 cash prize plus a 12 moths reign as the Ideal Queen of the MVQI brand, which is barely two years old and just welcoming a second queen.
On her part, Okoro Chiwendu Kalu, CEO of the brand explained that the pageant was all about bringing the zeal, talent of young ladies and helping them establish and achieve their dreams.
Okoro said “modelling isn’t about prostitution; you mustn’t sleep with all the men to win a pageant crown. Sleeping around is a personal thing, something you do out of personal choice; it is not a pageantry criterion. It is the duty of contestants to be focused and prove the public wrong.
Immediate past winner of the pageant, Blessing Eze remarked that during her reign, she was able to visit primary schools where we meet younger people, talk to them and try to help shape their lives in good light.
