Passersby have sent a save our soul message, calling for the immediate intervention of the Rivers State Fire Service as NOBPET Filling Station, Port Harcourt, has been gutted by fire.
NOBPET Filling Station is located adjacent the Air Force Base in Port Harcourt before the Eliozu Bridge.
The passersby took to their social media handles to seek the state fire service urgent response before the inferno roasts the fuel station.
One of those who sent the SOS was a rights activist, Mr Solomon Lenu.
The fire outbreak happened on Friday afternoon, May 16, 2025.
Lenu is urging the state fire service to respond speedily.
It was said that the incident was caused by a gas explosion. Fortunately, no casualty has been reported.
