Only real men who stand for their families enjoy the presence of God, says Pastor Joseph George. He spoke at the City of Evidence International Church, Eneka, in Port Harcourt at an event to mark the annual men’s day of the church and the 50th birthday of the general overseer, Apostle Elman Thompson.

George stressed that “only a real man is qualified to withstand real issues. Real men carry God’s presence; they are not slaves to sin. What makes one a real man, real woman is the qualities he carries inside of him. They don’t quarrel over lion share, real men kill lion meat, for them life is about impact, giving, sacrificing not robbing God or fellow man.”

He charged the women to strive to be godly iron that sharpens their husbands in their weakness, and vice versa.

President of the men’s wing of the church, Iyke Worgu appreciated everyone for coming to celebrate with them and wished his pastor a happy birthday. “God bless you all, our wives, guests, children, everybody for coming to celebrate with us today, we are most grateful unto God and we pray that celebration will continue in your families in Jesus name. Amen, for the men I wish them happiness and love.

“To my Pastor, it is not easy for a man to leave upto this, he has lived upto today because he has Christ in him, and God has a purpose, things he is still using him to accomplish, I love my pastor, he is a good man and I pray he lives longer.”

On his part, Thompson said “I am most grateful to God, by the grace of God the bible says are years are renewed like an eagle, when you know the Lord even at old age you keep shinning. It’s my middle age, my desire is to please God and fulfil His divine purpose in my life.”
