Trouble looms for the minister of state for petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva, ahead of the governorship election scheduled for the state in November this year.
From the outcome of the last presidential and National Assembly elections in Bayelsa, all does not seem to be going in favour of the minister who is tipped to grab the ticket of the party.
Sylva was unable to secure victory for any of the National Assembly candidates of his party, the APC, including those from his federal constituency and his senatorial district.
The PDP candidates swept all the positions. Even the election that was declared inconclusive, the PDP candidate still had more votes than his APC opponent. The election is expected to be concluded this Saturday.
