Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, for the Rivers State House of Assembly, Obio/Akpor Constituency II, Emilia Lucky Amadi, Jp, has asserted that without the state governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike there is no PDP in Nigeria.
Mrs. Amadi made this claim at the unit to unit campaign council meeting of the party, held at Rumuapu hall in Rukpokwu clan last weekend, while commending the governor for the opportunity given to women to serve in his administration.
According to her, “without Wike there is no PDP in Nigeria. PDP is no more an umbrella, rather a canopy, because of how large the party has grown under the leadership of Governor Wike.
“I urge everyone here, especially the women to go and collect your PVC which is your power to vote your conscience.”
Also speaking, chairman of the campaign council, Worlu B. Hanachor, while eulogizing the governor, promised that his team would deliver all PDP candidates of the state.
Hanachor said Wike has done exceedingly well for the state in all ramifications, even as he applauded the efforts of the party chairman in Ward 14, Chukwuemeka Aaron, for supporting the campaign council to achieve the mandate given to them.
He said “the message brought to the units is for all unit members to go and get their PVC, while we adhere strictly on the governor’s instructions as pertains to the forthcoming general election.”
On his part, Mr Nsirimovu Ernest noted that “election is won or lost at the unit level, the PVC unit to unit sensitization is very important to ascertain the preparedness of the voters.”
