NCWS Condoles With Family Of Pioneer Member

Members of the National Council for Women Societies, NCWS, Rivers State chapter have paid a condolence visit to the family of her late publicity secretary, Gina Daka-Osika, at her residence in Port Harcourt.
The visit was to conclude arrangements for the burial of the deceased who till her death was the media aide of the women group, and staff of Radio Nigeria, 98.5 Treasure FM Port Harcourt.
Chairperson of the association, Hon. Sheila Abiye, who led the team described the deceased as a pioneer member of NCWS, Rivers State Chapter.
Sheila stated that late Gina Daka contributed immensely to the growth of the association in the state and the country at large.
She said, “indeed, we have lost a mother, a friend, a media guru, a playmate, my own paddy. Gina was all and more to us, especially to me.
“I didn’t see this coming, we spoke on Saturday, she didn’t mention anything like sickness, or whatever, just for me to hear the next day that she was no more”. She further described the late Gina as a jolly good fellow, adding that she has left an indelible mark.
The NCWS boss, who was accompanied by the state secretary, Charity Asonye, prayed God to strengthen both the family and the association and give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Family members of the deceased present during the visit were, Mrs. Ibiere Daka, Belema Daka, Boma Daka, Mercy Osika and Mr. Christian Osika.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the eldest, Mrs. Ibiere thanked the Chairperson and her members for identifying with them at the time of their grief.
According to her, “when God speaks, it’s final, it happened to Job, who are we? Everything God does is right, he knows the reason, we can’t say we love her more than God, thank you for coming to encourage us.”
Meanwhile, a service of songs in honour of the late Gina will hold on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Shepherd House Assembly, Oroazi, while the burial holds Saturday, March 20, 2021 in her home town.
