A woman, Mrs Blessing Enoh, aged 25, has beheaded her 12-year own daughter identified as Miss Purity, at Ibenda 2, Biko-Biko, Ugep, Cross River State.
According to sources, the suspect told neighbours who saw her washing off her daughter’s blood from the machete used to commit the act, that she was told to do so by an invisible person and that she will be rewarded with a hundred thousand (N100,000) naira, when she is done with the task.

When contracted, the Police spokesman for Cross River, SP. Irene Ugbo, explained to TNN, that investigation was on-going to know the causes of the crime.
“She (the prime suspect), was arrested yesterday. We are still interrogating her, to know what led to the beheading of her own daughter, the woman is 25 years old and her name is Blessing Enoh.The name of her own daughter is Miss Purity, aged 10.”
The Police Spokesman further added that “she’s already found guilty without being told, she will be charged to court. There must be something that led to her beheading the girl. Our Division in Ugep, were on patrol when they arrested the situation.”
