Widows and youths in Cross River State have started mobilising people of the state towards securing victory for the PDP governorship candidate in Cross River State, Prof Sandy Onor.
This is even as a youth group- Work and Pray Movement- has donated a well-equipped campaign office in Ikom, for Onor’s use.

On Tuesday, Onor personally inaugurated the campaign office, with words of gratitude to the group. He lauded them for the initiative and said posterity would remember them for contributing towards the rebirth of the state.
“I was in Abuja when these young businessmen visited me and gave me dollars in support of this governorship project. And I said these people are one of its type. So I want to say thank you. As you have given me your money, so shall your money be multiplied. Like my late friend James Ewa, would always say, Sandy your money no dey finish.
“Yet I am not a business man probably because God sees the heart. The Bible is always correct, as you give God will always give you back. I am so delighted. We are in this together.. No matter how the heat is, we will win the election.
“I shall become governor, by the grace of God. Our people are with us. The momentum is with us. The wind is behind our sail. I’m happy that all of you are here. I am happy that even the widows are here with us.
“Lest I forget, the last time I was with you, you people prayed for me. Your colleagues in Calabar, visited me and prayed for me. They also gave me N53,000 that I refused to spend but added it to my money for my money to grow. Because it’s was like a seed. God bless you all. I am have to myself in your midst.
Coordinator of the group, Jones Tangban said they decided to stand with Onor because they believed that only he could lead the team for a new Cross River and charged members of the group to work hard and ensure that Onor emerged governor in 2023.
“It’s a movement. We are going to move from church to church, motor park to motor park, to preach the gospel of Prof. Sandy Onor,” the group assured.
