More Trouble for Rivers APC As PH Court Sacks Chair, Legal Adviser
1 min readAt a time that the Rivers State chapter of the APC is battling with its tribunal case over the last governorship and other elections in the state, a Port Harcourt High Court has sacked the chairman, Emeka Beke and the legal adviser, Ifeanyichukwu Azubuike.
The exparte sack order was given by Mr Justice D.G.Kio, following an application to that effect by some party members, among them Omite Efrebo, Chidi Nweke, Chike Enyinda and seven others.
The aggrieved party members had sworn to a 25 paragraph affidavit in which they said they no more had confidence in the leadership of the chairman and the legal adviser and asked the court to stop them from parading themselves as such.
They had also asked the court for an order restraining them from interfering in the activities of the executive committee of the party, pending the determination of the case.
The judge granted their application as prayed and adjourned the case to April 19 for hearing of motion on notice.
TNN tried to reach the sacked chairman over the telephone twice. He rejected the first call and then ignored the second.
