Massive Votes Harvest Awaits Rivers PDP, Says Leader

About 2000 persons converged on the Eneka Civic Centre, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Ward 14 verification and sensitization of unit’s members.
The rally which was attended by men, women and youths, from and residing in Eneka and Rukpokwu communities took place last weekend.
Leader of the party in ward 14, Hon. Chris Ogbonna while appreciating the Obio/Akpor Units Verification Team, led by Chief ESV Emma Okas Wike, described the turnout as a massive harvest.
Ogbonna, who spoke with TNN in an exclusive interview, during the exercise, expressed satisfaction with the number of persons who came out for the rally.
According to him, “it is to show that the Rivers State governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has done well for the people of the state. You can see for yourself, this harvest is massive; we are very much satisfied with what is happening here, this is to tell you that ward 14 is PDP.
“On-going is our sensitization and verification program. It is to identify our co-supporters and those who can vote on the election day. Also, we want to use this medium to urge our brothers to come back home, they should return, the umbrella is wide enough to contain all of us, very wide.
“Rivers State PDP is a family. Like the story of the son who demanded and took his share of his father’s properties and journeyed to a strange land. You know the story very well, in that strange land he, a prince in his father’s paradise became less than a slave but one beautiful thing about that boy was his choice to return, and that is the message, they should return.”
To the electorate, the party leader said: “My advice is that on the day of the election, come 25th of February and 11th of March, everybody should come out to make sure they vote the candidate of their choice, especially candidates of the PDP from the Governor, Senate, House of Reps and House of Assembly for now, until further instructions are given.”
Also speaking, chairman of the ward, Chukwuemeka Owhor boasted that “Rivers State is PDP, since 1999, so this 2023 will not be different. We have always won, again, we will win. Our daughter, a daughter of Eneka clan, Lady Mrs. Emilia Lucky Amadi, JP, as you have seen here today is the house of assembly candidate for Obio/Akpor constituency 11, that means, we will do more.
“In fact, the whole of Eneka have agreed unanimously that they will vote only PDP, no other party, so, there is no opposition in our ward. And we trust our party’s candidates, we know that they will represent us well, they will meet up expectations.”
