National president of the Niger Delta body, Hon. Kennedy Tonjo-West, argued that the former president is known to always take thoughts over issues before making decisions.
He applauded the northern group, saying their gesture; purchasing the presidential form for Jonathan wasn’t out of place.
According to Tonjo-West, “First, it is unlike the former president who will first think through any action before giving his position on the matter, so the sharp retort didn’t emanate from the former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan we know. Secondly, come to think of it, is it wrong to have purchased a form on his behalf without recourse to him, the answer is no. Ninety per cent of the politicians who picked their interest forms claimed that certain group purchased the form for them. As MOSIEND we are gathering funds as well to purchase the form for him as well.”
Commending the northern group, he said, “As a group we commend our brothers from the north who were courageous, smart and clever enough to have taken the bull by the horn to purchase the form for Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, it is a step in the right direction. Nigerians earnestly desire the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan style of leadership which consider Nigeria first, development across board, prudent management of resources, not vindictive, high level of tolerance and strongly believe in unity government. Our brothers from the North deserve our thumbs up, they have distinguished themselves as true Patriots, who wants the unity, stability and progress of Nigeria by all cost”.
MOSIEND further appealed to the former president to join the race for the nations presidency, stressing that the country will be better and safer with him.
“We are further embolden to entreat our father and leader to accept the form and come out and contest. The call of the masses is from God, we have said it in several fora, that God is not done with Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s leadership of this country. Nigeria Will not only be more United, but safer, stronger and prosperous under Goodluck Jonathan than any other aspirants”
