In New Year Message, C’River Rep Declares 2025 Year of Development Revolution In Constituency

Dr Alex Egbona who represents Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has declared that 2025 will be for his constituents a year of development revolution. He said his people would experience unusual programmes and projects which he would attract.

He said even though his constituents have tasted quality representation in the past, what they would see in 2025 would make nonsense of what they have seen over the years. But he urged the people to keep the peace and also support and pray for their leaders at all levels.

This is the full text of the message:

It gives me so much joy to know that you are alive till today to witness the beginning of this brand new 2025, a year that promises to be fulfilling and satisfyingly different from all other years.

I address you as your representative in the National Assembly, not just for the traditional greeting on this first day of the first month of 2025, but also to rejoice with and congratulate you for making it to the New Year and then urge you to fasten your seat belt as we begin the journey to unveil new chapters, fresh horizon and discover new possibilities.

Since 2019 when you graciously gave me the mandate to represent you in the National Assembly, I have, to the best of my ability through God, embarked on and attracted projects and programmes that have changed our stories for the better and reshaped the landscape of the constituency. Even with the modest achievements recorded so far(and I have heard people say they have not had it this good in the history of representation in this constituency), I have refused to and will not slow down in my effort to continually break my own record in representation and service delivery.

I am very well aware that there a lot of grounds to be covered. Even though my primary duty is to make laws, I have and will continue to engage, synergize with and lobby everybody to attract those projects and programmes that will make you proud, fulfilled and satisfied that you truly have a representative in Abuja.

I will continue to work with all development partners, including federal government agencies and parastatals, our governor, the two local government chairmen and all stakeholders to achieve the envisioned development revolution in our constituency.

My desire is to take this constituency to a higher level of experience in health and wealth. And I know I cannot walk alone on this journey.

I therefore urge you to be the responsible citizens that I have always known you to be. Support and pray for Mr President, our governor, our council chairmen and all the elected and appointed leaders ordained by God to lead us.

Let us abhor those things that will divide us. Let us avoid those draw back actions and do only those things that will promote our values, engender common wealth and take us to higher grounds. Let love lead at every point in time.

I welcome you to the year of development revolution in Abi/Yakurr.
