Contrary to speculations in some quarters that the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu may have converted to Christian, the president says he remains in his Muslim faith.
The Special Assistant to the president on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, has dismissed viral claims suggesting that Tinubu had converted from Islam, describing the claim as false.
He made this known in a statement shared on X on Thursday.

Olusegun explained that president Tinubu has consistently practised Islam while maintaining respect and support for his wife’s Christian faith, who is a pastor of the Redeemed Christians Church of God.
According to him, the president’s family structure reflects interfaith harmony rather than religious conversion or conflict.
“President Tinubu has always been a Muslim, while proudly supporting his wife, who is a Pastor. This unique interfaith harmony in his own home is what he brings to national leadership, which is unity and not conversion,” he added.
The clarification comes following the circulation of a video on social media speculating the president’s religious identity.
