People’s Democratic Party, PDP frontline aspirant and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel says his mission is to partner with God to rescue Nigeria from economic maladies and the prevalent insecurity ravaging the country.
Udom stated this when he interfered with officials and teeming members of Cross River in Calabar as part of his nation wide consultation for the presidential ticket of the PDP ahead of 2023 elections.
Udom who attributed the prevailing economic challenges bedeviling Nigeria to dearth of visionary, creative and pragmatic leaders said” my experiences in the private and public sectors have endowed me with the needed tact and zest to rescue and restore Nigeria in my capacity as the divine vessel chosen by God for this peculiar task.
“The success story of Ibom Air, King’s Flour, our syringe manufacturing company and numerous other agro based industries running at optimum capacity attest to my investment prowess, political sagacity and enterprise. I intend to replicate the success story in Akwa Ibom under my watch on greater platform which is the president.
“Let the myraid of problems frustrating peace and development of our country challenge those of us with the capacity, intellect, vision and drive to rise up and offer ourselves to the service of our country for the sake of the unborn generation. We can’t sit aloof and allow the drift to continue.. We must rise up”
Speaking earlier, former Benue Governor and the Director General of Udom Campaign Organization Senator Gabriel Suswan opined that the time is ripe for Nigerians to rise above primordial sentiments and elect credible, competence and capable individual as the next president if the country must assume it’s rightful place in the comity of nations.
According to Suswan “Governor Udom Emmanuel is the most viable option amongst the retinue of aspirants with the vision and drive to transform our vast economic potentials to usher in the Nigeria of our dream.”
