Guber Race: What God Showed Me About OBA, Eno -Prophet Ituen
11 min read
Every year, he gives out prophecies on events that will happen in the coming year. Last year, Prophet Ekong Ituen, an Akwa Ibom son but Lagos based prophet did the same thing. He prophecies are already in public domain, part of which is reproduced in this edition.
But Ekong spoke to TNN exclusively and gave further insight into some of the prophecies, including the man the next governor of Akwa Ibom State. He spoke with OFONIME UMANAH.
Excerpts:
In your prophecies for this year, you said you knew who the next governor of Akwa Ibom would be. But that you didn’t want to make it public, even though you made public the ones of other states. So, why are you hiding the one of Akwa Ibom?
(Laughs) You know I’m a servant of God and I am under instructions. So, that’s the way the Holy Spirit wanted it to be and you know, all the candidates are my sons; I am the spiritual father to everyone of them. So, I may not want to go further so that I may not offend any one of them.
But that is you now talking, and it’s different from the Holy Spirit who gave the revelation, isn’t it?
I have told you, I am under instruction and that’s the way the Holy Spirit wanted it to be as well and you know, the spirit of the prophet is under the control of the apostle, so you can fine-tune it and make it appear the way you want.
But how come, the ones for other states have been revealed, especially those in the north. So how come the prophet is from the south-south, from Akwa Ibom and there’s no revelation on someone from the South-south. Why?
No, I have one in Rivers State. You know, I can only prophecy what I saw and it is based on the information, the revelation I received by the Holy Spirit, so I can’t prophecy beyond my spiritual capacity.
Let’s look at it this way, let’s look at the south-south. I will go state by state. In Rivers State, you have said PDP would win, alright?
Yes.
Cross River State who will win?
Well, there was no revelation as I have told you. I prophesied based on the revelation, the information I received. I prophesied within my spiritual jurisdiction. So, I cannot just tell you what was not shown to me. So all those things that you have seen, I prophesied, I predicted based on the revelation.
Let’s look at South-south now; we would come back to Akwa Ibom, how about a state like Delta?
What I saw was confusion, misconception, something is not right there. So, if PDP is not serious, APC would take over from them.
Okay, so let’s get back to Akwa Ibom. You said it’s going to be the toughest elections ever in Akwa Ibom…
(Cuts in) one of the toughest in the history of Akwa Ibom State.
Why, what did you see specifically?
Competition…
(Cuts in) were people killed?
Not really, everybody wants to win, I mean, people are tired of the government on ground and all those stuff, it’s going to be very, very tough. It’s going to be very tough. I don’t know how to explain it, but what they told me in the realm of the spirit (it will be a tough battle) because everybody wants to win at the same time.
I believe one of the reasons why the Holy Spirit may want to show you some of these things is so that people would know and people would walk towards it and people will have rest of mind. So, can you give us a clue as to what to expect in Akwa Ibom in terms of who will win, just a clue?
I would not want to dabble into it because as I have already told you, it was not to be disclosed to the public. I was to talk to the person involved, not…
(Cuts in) People are already giving interpretations to that statement on its own because the perception is oh, this prophet wants to have an opportunity to meet with politicians, maybe for monetary gains, or for popularity.
I don’t know what to say, but what I said was what I said and well, let me just answer you this way. Some few weeks to the election, I will get back to you on that because a lot of people are too anxious; they are very eager to know the person and a lot of them have been calling me on phone. I think I will plead with the Holy Spirit for me to disclose the name.
So, for the purpose of this discussion, is it possible at all that Oba will be the next governor?
(Laughs, then speaks in vernacular…you will not get me. I know your tricks….laughs again). As I have already said few weeks to the time, few weeks to the elections, I promise you, I will tell you.
No, I’m not even saying disclose the name of the person, I’m just asking, is there a possibility like that? I’m starting with OBA, if you just say yes or no I move on? You don’t have to mention his name.
Well, Oba is a good man, what I can say is that Oba is a good man, he is a good man, and he stands a good chance. But, I still need to tell you the name.
Okay, he is a good man, he stands a good chance right?
Yes.
How about Udoedeghe?
(Laughs…speaks in vernacular again…mind yourself o. Don’t drag me to that place you want to drag me to). We shall talk about those people some other time, not now.
Can you just talk about them? You’ve said OBA is a good man, he stands a chance. You’ve given an idea of what you think of Oba, it may not be what you saw in the spirit but as a son of the soil, what do you think about this person, that’s the way I’m looking at it, since you don’t want to talk about…
(Cuts in) I’ve talked about Udoedeghe, I’ve talked about every one of them, even Akan Okon that is having a case in the court, I’ve talked about him. Akan Okon was my neighbour, he was living at number 23, I was living at number 25 at MAGADA, so, I will talk about every one of them when the time comes, honestly I promise you, but let me stop there, so that I would not end up contradicting issues at the end of the day. Honestly, I will talk and I have a very close interaction with every one of them.
You said APC will win the presidential election, and that is Tinubu…
(Cuts in) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
How is he going to win?
That’s what I saw in the realm of the spirit…
(Cuts in) What exactly did you see that showed that he is going to win?
Yes, because everything that wants to happen in the physical, must first of all reflect in the realm of the spirit, anything that doesn’t reflect does not have a chance to come to pass. Then, Peter Obi is a good man, he is my in-law, his wife is from my village, but I keep telling people that his name has not reflected in the realm of the spirit as the next president of Nigeria. People like him, I like him but a lot of people expect me to prophecy what at the end of the day would just make me a liar. Peter Obi is a good man, he is a nice man, a lot of Nigerians are in love with him. But the problem is that, and people want me to tell Nigerians that he is going to be next president of Nigeria, I cannot prophecy that. I can’t prophecy what I didn’t see. I always prophecy what I saw, I prophecy what I see, his name has not reflected in the realm of the spirit. And Atiku, I warned Atiku five years ago, that in fact, what is happening in PDP is a manifestation of what I told him; I told Atiku, ‘you are playing your last days in politics, you will not become the president, that you will be embarrassed by the governors of PDP at the end of the day.’ So, if you go to my page on facebook, you will see that.

So, the one of Tinubu, did you see him being sworn in, did you see him been celebrated at Eagles Square?
The issue of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, you know, let me tell you the truth, Tinubu is going to be the next president of Nigeria, but what I saw there was that there would be a protest; he’s going to be announced, he is going to be the next president, but after presidential election, there will be a protest, something like a revolt, and a lot of issues, people would not agree easily, there would be religious crisis and a lot of things, but at the end of the day, he would be sworn in.
Do you think, do you believe that Tinubu would be a better president for Nigeria?
Well, God has not shown me that, but I know, there would be economic transformation. He will try his best, at least Nigerians will rejoice, his administration will be better than what is going on now.
Will you vote for Tinubu?
I don’t belong to any party.
You don’t have to belong to any political party to vote for a candidate of your choice. So, will you vote for Tinubu?
I am a father to all, who will I vote for?
No, but as a Nigerian, you are able to vote.
My own is to pray for all my children who are contesting to succeed. So, if at the end of the day I vote for a particular person, it means, I have taken side.
So, what it means is that you are not going to vote?
I am not sure, I am not sure for now, so that I will not end up taking sides; my business, my responsibility as a spiritual father is for me to pray for all my children who are contesting.
There are four major presidential candidates; Tinubu, Atiku, Peter Obi and Kwankwaso, which of them do you think is the best for Nigeria?
Hhmm! Well, God has not told me who is the best; the only thing God told me, God told me who will win, and I have told you, that’s what I saw.
Yes, but as a Nigerian, who lives in Nigeria, who do you think out of these four is the best?
Well, I cannot say for now until when they get there.
Who would you recommend Nigerians to vote?
Well, it’s a very good question, I can’t influence anybody. I have told my people, my members and pastors, vote according to your conscience.
So back to Akwa Ibom, who do you think is the best; between Umo Eno, Akan Okon…
(Cuts in) (Speaks vernacular…you have come again. I will not tell you that thing you want to hear.) But don’t be ignorant of the fact of, don’t fail to mention some of the key points that I have said there in that paper, like the governorship candidate that will win, and don’t fail to mention about the governorship candidate of Benue, I talked something about him, I talked something about the governorship candidate of Benue State, I did mention something about the governorship candidate of Abia State, they are good people but they have to comply with what I said there. Everything is there, irrespective of the way you will write it, you should be able to put down some few things there and 2023 would be a good year, many Nigerians will make it, they will flourish, some of the policies of Buhari would be reversed.
Like which of the policies in particular did you see being reversed?
No, I can’t pinpoint any, but I know so many of his policies would be reversed.
You said so many things about governors that will win and then those that may not win. Of course, it’s clear. How many politicians have reached you since you gave out these prophesies?
A lot of them, a lot of them in Akwa Ibom, a lot of them, even before now, there have been. A lot of them are on my neck, as a spiritual father, my major responsibility is to pray for people and to tell people the mind of God. One of the duties of a spiritual leader is to predict the past, the present and the future, so that’s what I’ve been doing. Anyone of them that contacted me or anyone of them that has contacted me, or would contact me, if he is a candidate, I will tell him right away, you will win or you are not going to win. But, let it be notable too, that Tinubu would do well, so I don’t want the men of God, the men of God please draw their attention that this elections is not about religion, it’s the will of God. God is not the God of religion, but the God of all flesh, it’s not about religion, it’s about the will of God.
Umo Eno is a pastor; do you think he will do well as Governor of Akwa Ibom State?
(Laughs(Speaks vernacular. I don’t know why you can’t give up on this matter.) Honestly, in my state, I am trying to be very careful. But I can tell you something off the record, since you won’t let me be) It will be off the record.
Off record, yeah and I will respect it
(He speaks in vernacular and mentions the name of the person that will win as governor) He still has a lot to do, he’s a good man and he stands a very good chance, but he’s got a lot to do (Speaks vernacular and makes some comments about one other candidate and why he will not win). So, those are the things.
