A lawyer with the human rights advocacy group, Festus Bonwin said the sudden disappearance of the man before the body of the deceased was found at her apartment raised serious suspicion as to what actually led to the death of the deceased.

According to him, “we as a human rights based organization is simply asking the honourable commissioner of police to do a thorough investigation into the sudden disappearance of the man with his two years old daughter, who was living with Uchechi popularly known as Oyibo at a compound located in Woke Street, off Cherubim road, Mile 3, Diobu, who was found dead by co-tenants.”

Bonwin also requested for “the transfer of the case file to the state criminal investigation and intelligent department for proper investigation which includes autopsy, and we are appealing to the co-tenant and all other well-meaning citizens to provide useful information to the police that could help in the arrest of the male lover while we express concern over the safety of the child.”

He said: “I am the caretaker of the place. Two of them, they are not married, they are just boyfriend and girlfriend, they are not married.
