Group Backs Fubara, Commends Peaceful Disposition Amidst Rivers Political Crisis

More accolades have been poured on the governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, following his peaceful disposition amidst the political crisis rocking the state.
A renowned advocacy group in the state, D-Young Elite Advocacy Forum, D-YEAF, highly commended the governor for his courage, steadfastness, determination and style of governance.
In a statement made available to TNN on Monday, by the Coordinator, Mr. Opurum Loveday C and Secretary, Bright Nnadi, the leadership of D-YEAF described Fubara’s one year in office as meritorious.
The youth body noted that the governor has not only shown inspirational leadership but very high level of humility and tolerance which they said is a major attribute of an outstanding leader.
They urged Fubara not to be distracted but remain strong and focused.
According to them, “D-Young Elite Advocacy Forum salutes the courage, steadfastness and determination of the Governor in demonstrating peaceful disposition in government even in the face of political affronts, provocative political utterances by some individuals.
“This rare attribute of your Excellency is worthy of commendation and emulation. You have not only shown inspirational leadership but very high level of humility and tolerance which is a major attribute of an outstanding leader.
“We urge your Excellency not to be distracted or feel weak but remain strong and focused in his resolve to defend democracy, sustain the mandate given to him by the fathers of democracy and the entire Rivers people and to continuously uphold the tenets of good, productive, impactful, development and people-oriented governance as you have always advocated.”
While congratulating the governor, D-YAEF stressed that, “we are pleased with your leadership and developmental strides going by the quality of projects being flagged up so far across the breadth and width of Rivers State. Indeed, you have proved/shown your sincere willingness and commitment in delivering quality service/projects to our people.
“The detailed, expository and chronological presentation you made on the occasion of your administrations one year stewardship and performance report is indeed a democratic testament which must be treasured by all lovers of democracy, political advancement and transparent leadership. Sir we are very proud of you and greatly applaud you for the achievement so far.
“In view of the above your Excellency, the enter members of D-YEAF in solidarity with the good people of Rivers State are not only happy with your performance in the last one year in office but have consciously resolved to pledged their support and commitment to the government of Rivers State/your administration for a more prosperous State and development of the youth in particular.”
