Gospel Artiste Premieres New Single, ‘Andinwam’

Port Harcourt based Afrocentric R&B Gospel music stunt, Victor Effiong, popularly known as Maestro Vic has returned to the music scene with the release of his latest single ‘Andinwam, an Efik/Ibibio word meaning ‘My Helper.’

The hit single, Andinwam, written and composed by the astounding, fast rising Akwa Ibom State born Maestro Vic, was produced by Wale Babs and Maestro Vic. The release, accompanied with an official music video featured the likes of Rejoice Promise, Victory Akpan, Maurice (Guitar) Willheight, Elijah Akpan, Bass – Xly B, Jamel Sticks, Tunde T-Boy, Beauty David Nteogot, Don Sopa-Briggs, among others.

Andinwam which dropped early this year, is coming five years after the release of his previous single ‘Nobody Else’, and is already gaining massive airplay and online streams.
While explaining the reason for his choice of language, the multi-talented award winning broadcast journalist, Maestro Vic said, “Andinwam, an Efik/Ibibio word meaning My Helper is a mid-tempo afrosoul centric dancehall, with rich and powerful vocals and a beautiful blend of percussion and other music instruments recorded live, as inspired by the Holy Spirit to aid believers all over the world build an intimate relationship with God, to praise and worship Him better.

“The choice of my mother tongue Efik/Ibibio, Nigerian Pidgin and English languages all fused in the song, were only attempts to express an in-depth gratitude to God for my numerous benefits, deliverances and sustenance through the turbulent years of my life and ministry.”

He said “I recently suffered a setback few days to the release of Andinwam as I was robbed of my two mobile phones, other personal belongings and a sum of money stolen from my bank account after it was hacked by the criminals.

“I am forever grateful to God for sparing my life, and I am confident that God is All Sufficient to restore everything I have lost.”

Maestro Vic who also majors as a voice over artist, news editor, correspondent, presenter, music producer, voice coach, music director and more, further assured his fans that the release of Andinwam (My Helper), marks the beginning of more hits to come.
