After months of searching, Rivers State governor, Sim Fubara has finally found a trust-worthy candidate to fill the position of finance commissioner in his cabinet.
Barring any last minute change of plans, Frank-Fubara is to assume duties as the next finance commissioner before the end of Monday, July 7.
His name has already been submitted to the Oko-Jumbo state house of assembly for screening on Monday. It is expected that Frank-Fubara will be screened and cleared before 11am, while his inauguration will follow almost immediately after.
TNN learnt that the governor has been shopping for a reliable person to occupy the position. Not much could be found on Frank-Fubara on the internet. Sources in the government also said they knew very little about him.
It could not also be ascertained if he was related by blood to the governor, considering the linkage in name.
The state has not had a finance commissioner since the one nominated by Nyesom Wike and handed over to Fubara resigned alongside the other nominees who were brought into Fubara’s government by Wike.
