Miss Orinemi Ayanate is battling for her life in a hospital around Odili Road, Port Harcourt, after been stabbed and abandoned allegedly by her fiance.
Mr Promise Wosu Junior, popularly known as Wene Port Harcourt, confirmed this incident in an interview with TNN on Monday.
The incident happened around Iwofe, in Rivers State. Ayanate was stabbed over what was described as a minor issue.
As at the time of filing this report, the victim had already being given four packs of blood, and could barely speak.
She was rushed to the hospital by neighbours who heard her cry for help. It was alleged that the fiance after stabbing her, made away with her phone, hand bag and wig.
In their call for justice, Ayanate friends appealed to the Rivers State Police command to thoroughly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrator to book.
According to Wene Port Harcourt, “she is a very good friend of mine, like, a very close friend of mine.
“The incident took place in Port Harcourt, Iwofe. This is not the first time she is been beaten by this man, like, the relationship has been so abusive but this one is like the extreme point of it.
“He has been beating her before now. So, from what we gathered because she couldn’t even speak, right now, she has even taken over four packs of blood, just this evening, because she lost a whole lot of blood.
“From the little she told us was that the man stabbed her. I don’t know if you watched the video we recorded, both her hand and her head, then, also seized her phone, took her wig and her handbag and left her in the house and ran away, so, she couldn’t even reach anybody, she was just screaming until neighbours came to her rescue before they now alerted, even her parents were not even aware until we did that video and sent to her mother.”
He further appealed to journalists in Port Harcourt to reach out to the victim and give her the opportunity to speak about her ordeal, when she regains strength.
Wene said the state Police had been notified about the incident.
