Candidate of the PDP during the just concluded governorship election in Cross River State, Prof Sandy Onor has secured an order of the tribunal to inspect all the materials used for the election, including ballot papers, BVAS machines, et cetera.
The candidate has also secured an order to carry out a forensic audit of the BVAS machines used in all parts of the state. Chairman of the tribunal, Mr Justice J.O.Okeaya-Inneh gave the order following an exparte application by Onor.
The tribunal chairman however refused to order INEC not to tamper with the electoral materials, as there was no affidavit before the tribunal in support of the application.
The chairman also ordered that inspection of the election materials should be carried out in conjunction with the APC and its candidate, Prince Bassey Otu, who are respondents.
Onor is at the tribunal to challenge the outcome of the March 18 governorship election which produced Otu of the APC as winner.
