C’River Community Decks LG Chair With Chieftaincy Title

In recognition of his commitment and dedication to community development and selfless services, the people of Effraya community in Etung Local Government of Cross River State have conferred on John Nkom Etuk, the local government chairman, with a chieftaincy title, Ntufam Ebat 1 of Effraya which is interpreted as Chief of light 1 of Effraya ward.
In his remarks, town council chairman of Effraya, Mr Raphael Okorn said the community was proud of their son who had, over the years, been a shinning light in their community and beyond.
Responding, Etuk promised to ensure that the dividends of his leadership would be felt even more from his immediate constituency. He said the honour was a motivation to enable him perform more than he had done in the past.
