Pandemonium struck at Abakiliki street in Mile one Diobu, Port Harcourt, when yet-to-be identified gunmen shot and killed a young man during the Easter celebration on Sunday.
The incident which happened near the very busy Abba street causes panic as residents who heard the gun shot scampered for safety.
Though the Rivers State Police command was yet to react to the incident as at the time of filing this report, but residents revealed that the victim was killed after leaving a store he went to buy bread.
The assailants were said to have drove off in a vehicle after shooting the man.
A source disclosed that police officers attached to Mile one Police Division arrived the scene to retrieve the victim’s corpse, minutes after the gunmen had left.
