Be Transparent, Honest, Rivers NYSC Coordinator Charges Camp Officials As Orientation Begins Wednesday

The Rivers State coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mr. Moses Oleghe, has charged collaborating agencies and staff members, to be transparent and honest in their dealing with corps members.

Oleghe gave this charge while admonishing staff in preparation for the 2024 Batch C Stream II orientation exercise of the NYSC, which is billed to commence nationwide on Wednesday, January 22 to Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

He stressed on the need for staff members and collaborating agencies participating in the camp to ensure a successful camping exercise.

He urged them to, “let your integrity speak for you before the corps members.

“Live above board and be exemplary in character, conduct, be transparent, honesty in all interaction and dealing with the corps members.”

The NYSC State Coordinator reminded all in attendance that NYSC, “is a service-based organization, dealing primarily with young, vibrant and talented graduate youths, hence the focus of everyone who come in contact with corps members must be on how to be intentional in treating them right.”

On her part, the Camp Director designate, Mrs. Chinedu Chilaka emphasized on the need for team work, cohesion and synergy amongst all camp officials irrespective of the organization one is coming from.

She enjoined all to align themselves properly with top management’s code of conduct on orientation course as well as stay loyal to the noble values and ideals of the scheme in order to achieve a smooth, seamless and successful orientation exercise.
