Bayelsa PDP: Turnah In More Trouble

The face-off between George Turnah, a former scribe of the PDP in the south-south is assuming a worrisome dimension, as the former special assistant on youth to a former MD of NDDC has been dragged to court.

Turnah, a native of Ogbia, Bayelsa State, had been suspended from the party in the state, an action that angered his followers in his ward, who threatened to defect from the party.
Also, there were signals on Tuesday, that Turnah had instructed his followers serving in the current state government to resign. This allegation could not be confirmed by TNN as at press time.

But a certain Solomon Agwanana and two other party members have already approached a Bayelsa State High Court in Suit No: BYHC/YHC/CV/73/2025, seeking an interim injunction stopping Turnah from taking part in any PDP activities.
The court, in granting the request, restrained Turnah from participating or attending any meeting or carrying out any function as a member or an officer of the PDP pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice.
The Court also granted an order for substituted service of the processes and adjourned the case to March 3, 2025 for hearing.
