During the sixth Quadrennial Delegates Conference which held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Yenagoa, the state capital, every member of the old eleven-man committee was returned unopposed as there were no oppositions to any of the positions.
Conducting the election, national President of NULGE, Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel adopted a voice vote pattern in line with the union’s electoral guidelines which gives room for voice vote where there is no opposition.
Represented by the General Secretary of NULGE, Comrade Chuks Aguonye, the national President had earlier called for the dissolution of the old committee where the chairman, Ekeremor Rural Development Area, Mr. Princewill Agbogidi moved the motion for the dissolution of the committee.

“I commend you all because you are good followers. Rather than pull him down, you have been working harmoniously with your state president,” he added, commending the delegates for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner.
In his acceptance speech, Ekiegha thanked members of the state chapter of NULGE for believing in his leadership style and giving him and his team another opportunity to serve them.
The state NULGE boss said “l have served before. You have given me another four years to serve and by your support, the service is going to be very smooth.
“I am not a ruler but a leader. I know that by the grace of God who has always be directing me to serve as King Solomon, Joseph and the great leaders in the Bible served, by the wisdom God has deposited in me and my EXCO members, we are going to pilot this affair the way God wants it, not the way man wants it.
“I believe that the service this time will be greater than the former. I am serving, you are serving; there is know ruler here. I am very soft in my decisions but there is one principle, do not betray,” Ekiegha advised.
