An excited Diri said on his social media handle that “I am attending the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as a special guest at the invitation of the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino.

“Mr. Infantino is happy with our investments in both Bayelsa United and Bayelsa Queens. He is so touched by our support to the growth of female football in Nigeria, Africa and the globe. I see a lot more partnerships coming our way in this direction. My government is strategically promoting sports through proper funding to positively engage our youths in the state.”
