APC Membership Revalidation: Over Half A Million Jobs Await Members

Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, ( APC) says her target is to register at least 600,000 members across 329 wards in the state in the ongoing revalidation exercise, to position the party ahead of 2023 general election.
Speaking in uyo on Wednesday, the Care Taker Committee Chairman of the party in the state, Dr Ita Udosen said the party is driving the revalidation process of members in all the 2,980 polling units to ensure that the party is consolidated at the grassroot.
“inwe have set up Local Organizing Committee headed by the state Secretary of the party to liaise with the Visiting Committee from National to constitute Chapter Supervisors , ward and unit Registration Officers across the 31 local government areas in the state.

” Altogether, APC has recruited 9,660 members as Ad Hoc personnel to work in the revalidation exercise in the state.”
” We are doing this exercise in each polling unit with stationeries provided by the party . All the registration hai been transmitted to the situation/ Control Room at the National Secretariat in Abuja”
” The exercise is by His Excellency David Lyon ; the former Executive Governor of Bayelsa State who was removed by the Supreme Court. He is the Chairman South South Revalidation Committee . He was here with us today in Akwa Ibom ” Udosen stated.
According to him, some prominent and committed members of the party have assisted the party in the Revalidation exercise for total success by providing stationary, helping members to snap passport and providing needed logistics at the grassroot.
Udosen explained that APC would not have any structure in the newly created wards by the ruling People Democratic Party ( PDP) in the state as the matter is before the Supreme Court.
” We arc challenging the creation of those wards in the Supreme Court . That is why we don’t form our party structure in those wards We are waiting for Supreme Court verdict on the matter. We only work with the 329 wards created by INEC.
