Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Iyamah Daniel Edebor, has ordered the deployment of police personnel, operational assets, and intelligence officers to all approved centres for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB, Computer-Based Test CBT, across the state.
Edebor in a statement on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed, revealed that the measure was in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
According to the CP, the deployment is aimed at ensuring a safe, secure, and conducive environment for candidates, examination officials, and other stakeholders throughout the examination period.
Operatives were charged to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and take decisive action against examination malpractice, disorderly conduct, or any form of security breach.
Edebor also urged the deployed officers to work in close synergy with other security agencies to effectively secure examination centres, their immediate environments, and access routes.
The police commissioner further called on candidates, parents, guardians, and the general public to cooperate fully with security personnel.
He also charged them to adhere strictly to all examination guidelines to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise.
