WAEC: Bayelsa Student Gets Award As Overall Best In Public Schools

For attaining A1 in eight subjects and a B2 in the 2024 West African Examination Council WAEC, Bayelsa State born Keme Precious Numa, has been awarded the sum of N500,000.

Numa received the reward at the 63rd Annual Meeting of WAEC in Umuahia, Abia State, on Sunday, for his sterling academic performance as the Best Overall Male Candidate in Public Schools in the 2024 WAEC across Nigeria.

The young Bayelsan science student scored A1 in English, General Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and had a B2 in only one subject, Agricultural Science.

Numa was a student of Ido Comprehensive Secondary School, Egbemo-Angalabiri, in Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state.

The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah, was represented at the ceremony by the permanent secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Simon Peter Okene.

Numa, a native of Egbemo-Angalabiri, was joined by his Principal, Mrs. Jane Wareyai Emomotimi, his Mother, Mrs. Timi Numa, his grandfather, Chief Ebiama Ofonibenhen at the event.
