- Prophet: He’ll Win

A clearer picture is now emerging, that the former Nigerian president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, will present himself for election during the 2027 presidential election.
However, there is uncertainty about the political platform under which he will contest the election. But TNN learnt on Sunday that some chieftains of the opposition PDP and the coalition ADC, as well as other political parties have started wooing him.
It was on the same Sunday, that top northerners, including retired Army Generals met at the hilltop mansion of a former military president, Ibrahim Babangida, where the Jonathan Presidency issue was discussed, with the General endorsing Jonathan.
Interestingly, on the same Sunday, a prophet from Delta State, Prophet Bomadi Serimoedumu, General Overseer of Mount Zion Divine Gospel Ministry, predicted that Jonathan will return to Aso Rock if he decides to run.
He gave the prophecy during a church service at the church’s headquarters in Bomadi, Delta State.
Serimoedumu, who is known as the “Field Marshall of the Prophetic and Secret Revealer of the Niger Delta,” said he had a spiritual vision of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag flying high with Jonathan raising it.
TNN learnt from a very close associate of the former president that the international community is already engaging Jonathan and have declared their support for his return.
The associate confided in TNN that “in the last one week, there have been series of engagements, calls and consultations, especially from the international community on the issue. They want him to come back to office.
“People have been talking to Jonathan for some time now. It was just a few days ago that he made up his mind on the matter. Since then, a lot has happened and will continue to happen until the right time when he will make a public declaration.”
The associate who is a very influential Nigerian told TNN that it was not an easy decision for the former president to make. “But the international community as well as very top former and serving political leaders across the country believe that Jonathan is the fit and proper person to salvage the country at this time.
According to the source, Jonathan accepted to run with a decision to serve for only a term of four years. “Yes, I can confirm that he is contesting. The background checks have been done. Everything is in place and he will run, but he will serve for only a term and vacate to allow the north take over.
“Across the country, people are rallying and making moves towards making this a reality. The decision about political platform will soon be settled. I can only tell you that all the major political parties, apart from the APC, are talking to him.

“No decision has been made on this for now. But I believe that in a matter of days, Nigerians will be told. The only thing I can tell you now is that the former president is coming back.”
At the church service, the prophet had declared: “I see President Goodluck Jonathan in Aso Rock leading this country again. If he chooses to run in 2027, he will return as President. There will be prosperity, and the people will rejoice.”
Only last week, a former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, described former Jonathan as the PDP strongest option for the 2027 presidential election, urging the party to make concerted efforts to bring him back.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the ex-governor said: “I think for PDP now they should try and woo him; he is their best bet. To me, he is their best bet. Anybody put forth by the PDP, Nigerians will support him,”
Lamido described Jonathan as one who has led the country before, understands governance, and works well with others.
According to the PDP chieftain, no current party member from the South can match his experience.
“PDP, APC, ADC, it’s going to be very interesting and merrier. He is most welcome, competent and very qualified. To me, I welcome him into the PDP. I think so far in the PDP, with all respect to all members, I don’t see a better alternative than Jonathan if he comes to the PDP.
“I don’t see any other person, really. If we are giving the presidency to the South, it will be the PDP. Who is there in PDP now that can challenge Jonathan in terms of being in office, being full-headed, being somebody who is willing to listen, and somebody who is also a key player who believes in partnership?” the ex-governor said.
TNN learnt that Lamido was actually delegated by the northern stakeholders to make the public statement, after one of the meetings they had over the matter.
Jonathan is yet to make public his decision to contest the election, even though he is said to have informed some of the top politicians and public office holders from his home state of Bayelsa.
