Varsity Officials Match Against Social Vices On Campus

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Otuoke, Prof. Promise Mebine has led management staff on procession against anti- social conducts among students in the university campus.

The procession was staged to create awareness among students to shun cultism, drug abuse, indecent dressing and indiscipline.

Mebine who brings to his new assignment a rich experience in tertiary institutions management as a former HoD at the Niger Delta University (NDU) for 13 years, Rector Bayelsa State Polytechnic, Aleibiri, director National Mathematics Centre and worldwide travelling experience in conducting research, conference attendance and presentation, interacted with the students, and enjoined them to imbibe spirit of discipline, decent dressing, shun cultism and drug abuse.

He advised students to study their handbooks so as to acquaint themselves with the rules and regulations guiding their conduct, warning that any student that goes against the regulations will face severe sanctions.

Those who participated in the awareness campaign include; deputy vice chancellor ,research and development, Prof. Joy Akporowhe, director servicom, Prof. Socrates Ebo, the university pioneer ltd of brarian, Prof. Hudron Kari and the SAVC, Mr. Francis Elawaremi among others
