Ori Benedict Agbor has commenced six days bible reading to break the Guinness World Record GWR, for the longest read-a-thon.
Agbor who is a faculty of Arts and Social Science Education student of the University of Calabar student kicked-off on Monday at exactly 5:00pm.
This was contained in a release made available to TNN by the President of the Nigeria Union of Campus Journalist, University of Calabar Council, Sandra Michael.
For the 150 hours he is expected to cover for the six days, Agbor explained that he will rest for one hour after every six hours of reading.
The release read that, “at the stroke of 5:00 PM, amidst an atmosphere buzzing with anticipation and excitement, Ori Ben Agbor have officially commenced his quest to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Read-A-Thon.
“As the timer stands proudly at 00:00, marking the beginning of our journey, we invite each and every one of you to be a part of this historic moment.
“With the enthusiasm palpable in the air, our dedicated participant stand ready, poised to embark on a marathon of reading that will test his endurance, passion, and love for the written word.
“As we take this monumental step forward, let us embrace the magic of reading and the boundless possibilities that lie within the pages of the bible that await to be explored.
