Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared an emotional story about her past struggles and how she believes God helped her overcome them.
She spoke at Streams of Joy International Church during the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations led by Pastor Jerry Eze. She revealed that she started smoking when she was just 13 years old and struggled with it for many years.
According to her, she also battled alcohol use, masturbation and anger, saying the social vices affected her life deeply and did not allow her to have peace for a long time.
“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation too,” she said, explaining that she faced spiritual attacks for many years.
Tonto admitted that she almost did not share her story because she was worried about her public image. However, she decided to speak out, saying the same God who gave her an image can also take it away.
She explained that things began to change after she attended the Ghana Prayer Conference. She said she had a dream where the man who had held her captive for years ran away, and that was when she knew something had changed.
The actress also talked about anger, saying it once destroyed many things in her life. She added that through prayers with NSPPD, God removed the anger and gave her peace.
Now 40 years old, Tonto Dikeh said she is experiencing peace for the first time in her life. She revealed that her smoking habit lasted for about 27 years and advised parents to be careful about what their children are exposed to.
“My body does not ask for it anymore. My body is rejecting it. Today, it is broken,” she said as Pastor Jerry Eze prayed for her and declared her healed.
