A 20-year-old man, Ayasilebo Chris, popularly known as “Aboy,” has been paraded by the Bayelsa state volunteer security outfit over alleged theft at Etegwe Market in Yenagoa.
According to the Bayelsa state volunteer security outfit , he was allegedly involved in the theft of ₦58,000, mobile phones, ATM cards, knives and other valuables from the Yam Zone of the market.
The security outfit also alleged that Chris is a member of the Bobos cult group.
Another suspect, identified as Gift, also known as “Tomtom,” was named as an alleged accomplice in the incident.
According to the security outfit, Gift is from Yenagoa and is also allegedly linked to the Bobos cult group.
He appealed to members of the public to provide information that could help security agencies locate him.
The Chairman of the Bayelsa State Volunteer Security Outfit, advised youths to stay away from crime and activities that could affect their future.
He also encouraged young people to take advantage of skills acquisition and empowerment programmes provided by the Prosperity Government of Senator Douye Diri.
As the programmes could help youths acquire skills and build productive members of the society.
He said the volunteer security outfit would continue to work with law enforcement agencies to promote peace and security in the state.
