An elder statesman in Rivers State, His Highness Anabs Sara-Igbe, has expressed the belief that the Supreme Court will do justice in the judgment of the case between the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Arc Tonye Cole and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Recall that Cole had filed a suit challenging the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Fubara and the Peoples Democratic Party PDP of Nigeria, which was earlier dismissed by a tribunal for lacking merit.

On Monday, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by APM against Fubara, while that of Cole against Fubara was reserved on a date to be communicated to parties.

Sara-Igbe in an interview with TNN declared that there was no cause for alarm, stressing that justice would prevail.

The Niger Delta activist charged the Supreme Court to give the right judgment no matter the amount of intimidation.

He said that “the Supreme Court will come up with their judgment any day, I don’t see any cause for alarm, there is no cause for alarm.

“What we expect is that justice will prevail. No amount of intimidation should make the supreme court to do wrong judgment. We believe the Supreme Court will do the right thing. They are the last court, so whatever they decide we will obey.”
