Rivers UBE Chair Inspect Projects

In a bid to give a face-lift and ensure a conducive learning environment for students and staff in the Universal Basic Education schools in Rivers State, the executive chairman, Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board has commenced inspection of on-going projects in UBE schools.
The state UBE chairman, Ven. Archdcn Fyneface Ackah, accompanied by the board commissioners, directors, among others, last week, inspected some projects in Obio/Akpor, Ikwerre and Port Harcourt city local government areas of the state to assess the level of work done by the contractors in the on-going building projects, even as he assured that the board will visit other LGAs this week.
Impressed by the level of work done, the UBE boss who spoke with TNN expressed satisfaction with the quality of job in some of the project sites, even as he also condemned some and threatened to revoke the contracts should the contractors concerned pay deaf ears to his instructions and advice.
Ackah further reiterated the Rivers State governor; Nyesom Wike’s commitment towards ensuring that teaching and learning infrastructures are restored.
Some of the schools visited were, State Primary School Ozuoba, CSS Mgbuoshimini, UPE Nkpolu Rumuigbo, MGSS Rumueme, CSS Rumueprikom, CJSS Olanada, MJSS GRA, CPS Pabod.
Others include, CSS Nkpogu in Phalga, UPE Rumuokwrusi, CPS Eneka in Obio/Akpor Local government area, CJSS Omunobo Igwuruta-,Ali, MJSS Isiokpo, CPS Omuika Aluu and State School 2 Aluu all in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
