Rivers Police Strengthens Security Ties With NIS, NSCDC

As part of measures to strengthen inter-agency synergy, the Rivers State Police command has held a strategic engagement with the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC.

The State NIS Comptroller of Immigration, Cislu Anatogu, his team and NSCDC state commandant, Dennis Reuben and his team met with the Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju on Thursday, in a separate courtesy visits.

The engagements provided a platform to strengthen existing partnerships, deepen inter-agency cooperation and enhance the exchange of timely and credible security information in the collective fight against crime and emerging security threats across the State.

Welcoming the visitors, the CP reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining strong, cordial and result-oriented relationships with sister security agencies.

He emphasised that effective communication, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations remain critical to protecting lives and property and sustaining peace across the state.

The visits further demonstrated the command’s commitment to building a united and coordinated security architecture, where sister agencies work seamlessly together in the interest of the people.

The engagements culminated in the exchange of plaques, symbolising mutual respect, enduring partnership and a shared commitment to strengthening security and public safety.
