Rivers Police Speak On Commitment To Professionalism, Law Enforcement

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has affirmed the command’s dedication to upholding professionalism and excellence in law enforcement.

Disu gave this affirmation on Monday, while decorating some Senior Police Officers who were recently promoted in the state Police command.

The CP thanked the Police Service Commission PSC, for the timely approval of the promotions, following recommendations by the Inspector General of Police IGP, Olukayode Egbetokun.”

He further expressed gratitude to the IGP for entrusting him with the privilege of decorating the newly promoted officers.

Among the officers promoted within the Rivers State Command were six officers elevated from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police CSP to Assistant Commissioner of Police AC. Nine officers promoted from Superintendent of Police SP to CSP and 45 officers ascending from Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP to Deputy Superintendent of Police DSP.

In his address, The Commissioner of Police congratulated the officers and charged them to view their advancements as a renewed commitment to service and duty.

Disu also prayed to God to guide the officers in this onerous task.
