Ahead of the March 9 physical and credential screening at Alfred Diete-Spiff Civic Centre, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, has warned applicants against actions capable of undermining the peaceful conduct of the exercise.
Adepoju also charged the shortlisted applicants to conduct themselves in an orderly manner, declaring that they were not expected to pay any fee as the exercise was absolutely free.
The CP issued this warning on Thursday, in a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Irinke-Koko, where the Police Service Commission PSC, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force NPF, announced the commencement of the exercise for applicants in the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the NPF.
The screening which would commence from March 9 to April 18, in the state, is for candidates who successfully completed the online recruitment registration.
Adepoju wished all the shortlisted applicants a successful screening exercise and assured the general public that the statutory entry requirements into the force, as clearly stated in the Police Acts and Regulations, would be followed accordingly.
Meanwhile, applicants were encouraged to log into the official recruitment portal at npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to check their application status and print their guarantors form, application submission slip, invitation slip, credential screening and physical screening forms, which must be presented at the screening venue on the date and time indicated on their invitation slip.
The statement revealed the required documents for screening to be presented by candidates at their designated screening centres to include, invitation slip with assigned table indicated, credential screening form, original national identity number NIN printout or national ID card issued by NIMC.
Others are o’ level (GCE/SSCE) certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, local government area/state of origin certificate, trade test/certificate (for specialist applicants only).
Also to be presented at the screening group are duly completed and signed guarantors form, with photocopies of referees’ valid identification and attached passport photographs and original and duplicate copies of all credentials, neatly packaged in two separate white flat files, each with recent passport photographs attached.
Further, applicants are required to appear at the screening venue dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white.
