Rivers CP Orders Investigation Into Killings In Ahoada

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Mustapha, has directed the Ahoada Area Commander and the Divisional Police Officer to commence investigation into the invasion of Edeoha Community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.
Mustapha also charged them to investigate the killing of the four residents, apprehend the perpetrators and make them face justice.
The CP gave this order in response to the incident that occurred around two am on Sunday, when gunmen suspected to be cultists invaded Edeoha with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically.
According to reports, residents of the area scampered for safety for fear of been killed as the gunmen went from house to house in search of their targets.
The incident which was confirmed by the spokesperson of the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, has caused panic in the area.
