PH Pastor Arrested for Disobeying Wike’s Order on Lockdown

Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has effected the arrest of Senior Prophet U.O. Miracle of the Dynamic Flame of Fire and Miracle Ministries located at Golden Valley Estate, Woji.
The pastor was said to have continued to hold church services despite warnings by the state governor, that all residents should shut down all activities and remain at home, as part of measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19.
Those who reside in the neighbouring houses were said to have warned the pastor to suspend his church services but he refused. His refusal prompted them to report him the local government chairman, Mr Solomon Eke, who moved in and caught them while in session.
He was said to ordered his immediate arrest. The chairman who spoke on the issue said “yesterday, I received a call from concerned residents that a church was holding a service with over 100 persons in attendance.
“There was no precautionary measures in place; the church was endangering the lives of worshippers and residents of the area. I was also briefed that the pastor had been cautioned before by residents of the area, but all entreaties fell on deaf ears. We have arrested the pastor and sealed off the place.”
