With this year’s theme as ‘The Teacher we need for the education we want’ the RSUBEB boss stressed that the importance of teachers in any society cannot be overemphasized.
While congratulating teachers on behalf of the management and staff of the Board, Ackah commended them for holding their noble profession in high esteem, even as he urged them to always ensure that their modus operandi is recognized in the committee of nation.
He particularly congratulated teachers in Rivers State for what he described as their resilience and determination in making the profession the envy of others, expressing optimism that, “the government of Rivers State under Sir Siminalaye Fubara will always accord teachers what is due them.
Ackah expressed appreciation to the governor for the recent promotion of teachers in the state. He appealed to UBE teachers to be proud of the teaching profession as well as show capacity, readiness and willingness in carrying out their duties, noting that the governor of Rivers State is ever ready to work with every sector in the state.
