Pupils of Community Secondary School, Mgbaraja in Ogbogoro town, in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, have been subjected to one of the worse learning condition.

While enduring the unconducive school environment and dilapidated building, some students sit on the floor of their classrooms during lessons for lack of chairs.

This was revealed on Monday, when the LG Sole Administrator, Dr. Clifford Ndu Walter, paid an inspection visit to the school.

Walter noted that the tour was in line with his commitment to reform and enhance the learning environment across the local government.

During the visit, the sole administrator expressed concern over the deplorable condition of the school.

He made particular emphasis on the acute shortage of seats, which he said has forced many students to sit on the floor during classes.

Walter described the situation as unacceptable and assured that his administration would urgently provide additional desks and chairs to ensure a more conducive and dignified learning environment.

The LG administrator who was accompanied by the secretary of the Obio/Akpor Education Authority, Mr. Christopher C. Amadi, toured the school premises to assess the extent of its deterioration.

Reacting to what he observed, Dr. Walter emphasized the immediate need for renovations and infrastructural improvements.

He reaffirmed that the welfare of students and the overall quality of education remain top priorities for his administration.
