1 min read
The continued exodus of players across the country for a high remuneration is becoming a national phenomenon and there is nothing anybody can do to stop the trend, says the chief coach of Dakadda FC, Caleb Esu.
Exchanging views with TNN Sports in Calabar, Esu said since most of the players involved in the league were bread winners for their families, they would always shift base to where they would improve on their standard of living and their future guaranteed.

He told TNN sports that as a coach, you could only persuade the players to stay when the need arises but you cannot force them against their wish more so when they are on contract.
On the standard of officiating in the Nigeria Professional football League, Esu who handled Rovers FC of Calabar some years ago showered praises on the referees for their good outing in the just ended season.

He revealed that unlike in the past, teams could now win matches away from their home.
He recalled that Dakkada FC OF Uyo recorded an impressive 2 – 0 victory against Rangers FC in Enugu while other clubs also had encouraging away records while the hostilities lasted.
He appealed to the referees not to relent in their efforts but to keep it up for the league to glow.
