The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta MOSIEND, has reaffirmed its support to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr Samuel Ogbuku and his administration.

MOSIEND also pledged to partner Ogbuku in driving positive change and sustainable development across the region.

The foremost mass mobilization group in the region gave this reassurance on Thursday, when it congratulated the NDDC boss who was honoured with the “African Public Service Award” by the African Heritage Awards in Morocco.

On behalf of the group, the MOSIEND National President, Dr. Kennedy Tonjo West, lauded Ogbuku for what he described as his visionary and people-centric leadership, which he said has catalyzed rapid socioeconomic and infrastructural development across the Niger Delta.

According to West, “Ogbuku’s administration is a transformational force, shifting the Commission’s focus from “transaction to transformation.

“Under his strategic guidance, the NDDC has implemented projects that have significantly impacted rural communities, aligning seamlessly with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“This award is a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Ogbuku’s tireless efforts to uplift the Niger Delta.

“His leadership has not only brought renewed trust in the NDDC but has also inspired hope among the people.”

The MOSIEND leader further called on all Niger Delta stakeholders to rally behind the NDDC MD, even as he urged detractors to reconsider their stance and desist from distractions that could derail the region’s progress.

“We also appeal to our youths to steer clear of activities that tarnish the image of our region. Instead, we encourage them to become ambassadors of peace and development, working towards making the Niger Delta a first-choice global business destination.

“We reaffirm our full support for Dr. Ogbuku and his administration and pledge to partner in driving positive change and sustainable development across the region.”
