There is jubilation in the camp of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State, as the party welcomes chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC to its fold.
This is coming barely 60 days after a former spokesperson of APC in Rivers State, Ogbona Nwuke, dumped the party for the PDP.
Speaking with TNN in a telephone interview, Mr Kinikanwo Owhor, a die-hard loyalist of the transportation minister, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, who was among the defectors, said he left the APC because he was no longer needed in the party.
Owhor who noted that his reason for leaving his party was personal stressed that “you can’t be in a particular place, particularly when people there say you amount to nothing, you leave them to where people will respect you. So that’s it.
“They say I’m nothing, I can do nothing. So, I’m not wanted. For everybody to be on a safe side, I am not in APC again, I’m out. So, whoever might have sent you, tell that person that I am not in APC again.”
