Lokpobiri Enumerates Impact of Renewed Hope Agenda In Bayelsa

Minister of State for Petroleum(oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has spoken of the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the president, Senator Bola Tinubu, saying its impact on Bayelsa State are enormous and palpable.

Lokpobiri spoke in Yenagoa at an event to mark the formal inauguration of the City Boy Movement and opening of the state secretariat.

 He said the policies of the present government have continued to resonate strongly in Bayelsa State and across the Niger Delta, with measurable progress recorded in economic growth, infrastructural expansion, and job creation.

He noted that the developments have reinforced confidence in the administration’s reform-oriented policies, particularly within the oil-producing region, where strategic decisions are translating into increased opportunities and improved fiscal outcomes for States.

Lokpobiri said “the Renewed Hope reforms are restoring stability and credibility within the oil sector, encouraging investment and improving production outcomes. These strategic interventions have strengthened national revenue streams, leading to improved FAAC allocations and increased 13 percent derivation benefits to oil-producing States, including Bayelsa.”

The minister acknowledged the role of the City Boy Movement in mobilizing support and creating awareness about the administration’s economic direction, while fostering constructive civic engagement among citizens.

In demonstrating solidarity with the Movement’s objectives, Lokpobiri expressed firm support for its programmes and outreach efforts designed to enhance communication with Bayelsans.
