
Some polling units in the ongoing governorship election in Osun State, witnessed massive turnout of voters, including the elderly and physically challenged.
At Ede North polling unit where the governor, Ademola Adeleke exercised his franchise, voting activities was reported to have recorded a large turnout of voters alongside tight security patrols.
The situation was same at Ward 02, Unit 01, Sagba Abogunde, Bode Junction, in same Ede North LGA.
In Gantry Sawmill, Ward 9, Unit 11, the polling unit of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, residents also turned out en masse to cast their votes.
Ifofin Unit 001, Ward 8, Ilesa East Local Government Area, which happens to be the polling unit of Rauf Aregbesola, recorded huge voting strength.
An 88-year-old man was captured at Ward 2, Unit 1, Sagba Abogunde, Bode Junction, Ede, exercising his voting right.
Also, 85-year-old Pa Odejide Mosunmoye, addressed newsmen after casting his vote, demanding for good governance for all citizens in Osun State.
Then, at polling unit 6, ward 4, in Ejigbo, a physically challenged voter, Aminat Akinsola, also exercised her franchised unhindered.
Meanwhile, Osun State governor’s wife, Mrs Ngozi Adeleke, assured voters of zero intimidation, even as the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, expressed confidence of winning the election. As reported by Punch.
